OUR HISTORY
Margaret Lawrence University is a private university established in 2022 under the National Universities Commission Act of 1974 and Education Act of 1993. The University’s Main Campus is located in Galilee, Ika North-East L.G.A of Delta State, while its Medical Campus is situated at Rivers Park Estate, Airport Road, Lugbe District, Abuja.
The Board of Trustees of Fountain of Joy and Comfort Foundation decided to establish this university in furtherance of its commitment to serving humanity. Before the establishment of the University, the Foundation and its sister organization, Fountain of Joy and Comfort Ministry, have been doing a lot in disseminating the word of God and helping the less privileged. The Foundation and the Ministry have been involved in providing quality eye care services to reduce preventable causes of blindness and restore sight through their medical outreach programmes, first-class eye centres, and mobile clinics that are fully equipped for community eye care programmes. They have also been providing maternal health services to pregnant women in underserved communities, educational support by awarding scholarships to brilliant children from poor homes, and building classrooms for schools with poor infrastructure.
To further enhance these commitments and achievements, Margaret Lawrence University was established to promote quality education by employing the best brains. The University’s main objective is to produce graduates who are thoroughly equipped with knowledge, skills, and moral acuity to thrive anywhere in the world and contribute to society. The university is on track to be a world-class institution committed to the pursuit of knowledge, innovation, and excellence. With a focus on teaching, research, and community service, it aims at meeting the challenges of economic and human development in Nigeria and the larger world.

The mission of Margaret Lawrence University is to provide avant-garde educational programmes which shall empower the minds of persons with varying interests and abilities by providing qualitative access to knowledge and training with service to humanity as the benchmark.
Our mission is to:
