Stephen Eromosele Okooboh started his professional career in 2003 as an accountant with a sales and distribution company, Banksway International, Palmgrove, Lagos. He then went on to become an internal auditor in the same firm. His primary responsibility was to monitor sales and manage the books of the branches. This assignment earned him a good recommendation so much so that he was practically sent around the company’s branches in the northern parts of Nigeria.
Thereafter, he joined the American University of Nigeria, (AUN) Yola Press Group in 2005 serving progressively as the accountant of the printing press, then Group Accountant/Human Resources Manager following the introduction of two other production companies attached to the printing press (Scratch Card Production and Tissue Paper Production Companies) which he helped set up and manage. He made his mark by training many accounts staff under him in the AUN Press Group.
Stephen is well-versed in modern corporate accounts management and operations software. As a member of the facilitators’ team of Gotel Radio and Gotel TV, a sister organisation of AUN in Yola, he set up the Sage Accounts Software in use by the establishment and personally trained Accounts and Audit Department staff on the use of the software.
Stephen is one of the pioneer accounts staff of Paulo Homes Ltd, developers and promoters of River Park Estate, one of the most enviable estates in Abuja. He joined the company as a project accountant in 2013. Thereafter, he rose to become a project manager, a status that conferred on him the responsibility of overseeing the development and construction of the popular Margaret Lawrence University, Galilee, in an assignment he has diligently carried out to date. He is well-known for his penchant to save costs as much as possible and create avenues to generate revenues for the company.
Stephen studied accounting at Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, and graduated in 2002. He is an ardent lover of gospel music and a kind-hearted and purpose-driven person. He is married with children.
