GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION
UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION
Applicants seeking admission into undergraduate programmes at MLU must satisfy the following conditions:
Attain the minimum cut-off mark set by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for the current academic year.
Possess a minimum of five (5) O’ Level credit passes (WAEC, NECO, IGCSE, NABTEB, or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
Provide a valid JAMB slip indicating the intended course of study and appropriate subject combinations.
Candidates who did not initially select MLU as their first choice of institution in the current UTME are eligible to apply.
Complete and submit the online application form via the University’s official website: www.mlugalilee.edu.ng.
Pay the prescribed application fee into the designated University account immediately after submitting the application form.
Participate in the online post-UTME screening exercise, which will be conducted for all applicants who meet the above requirements.
Successfully admitted candidates must pay a non-refundable acceptance fee within one (1) week of receiving the admission offer to secure their admission slot.
DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION
Candidates applying for Direct Entry must meet the following criteria:
Possess a minimum of five (5) O’ Level credit passes (WAEC, NECO, IGCSE, NABTEB, or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
Obtain the JAMB Direct Entry form using A-level qualifications such as JUPEB, IJMB, BSc, OND, HND, or NCE. Admission into departments will be based on the aggregate score reflected on the JAMB Direct Entry form.
Application Procedure:
Pay the applicable application fee into the specified University account.
Complete the application form and submit it along with all required supporting documents.
Please note that admission is granted based on fulfillment of all requirements, and its is processed on a first-come, merit-based basis.
INTER-UNIVERSITY TRANSFER
Candidates seeking transfer admission must meet the following requirements:
Must have participated in the 2024 UTME and gained admission in the 2024/2025 academic session.
Must currently be enrolled in a recognized Nigerian university and possess a valid JAMB admission letter for the course intended for transfer.
Must possess at least five (5) O’ Level credit passes (WAEC, NECO, IGCSE, NABTEB, or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
Application Procedure:
Pay the designated transfer application fee into the specified account.
Complete and submit the attached application form, along with the following documents:
Applications will be reviewed based on the documents submitted.
If successful, the candidate will be required to visit any JAMB accredited CBT centre to complete a change of institution process.
Admission is based on the fulfillment of all requirements, and processed on a first-come, merit-based basis.
