Prof. Bernard Oluwafemi Jemilohun began his academic career in 2002 with the then University of Ado-Ekiti (now Ekiti State University) where he taught law at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels for more than eighteen years. He was at various times Head of the Department of Private and Property Law, Sub-Dean of the Faculty and Postgraduate Coordinator whilst in the service of Ekiti State University,

Ado-Ekiti. He was also at different times the Dean, Faculty of Law, Elizade University, Ondo State and the Head of the Department of Private and Property Law, Federal University Oye-Ekiti where he won the Vice Chancellor’s Merit Award as the Most Innovative Lecturer in the Faculty of Law. He is the Pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Law, Margaret Lawrence University, Galilee.

A 1990 Law graduate of the prestigious University of Lagos, Prof Jemilohun was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1991 and he later obtained the LL.M. degree and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Lagos and the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti respectively. He teaches majorly the Law of Contract, Land Law, Family Law, Conflict of Laws and Cyber-Law apart from other Law courses that he has taught to both law students and non-law students. His present academic research interest focuses on the interaction between humans and technology and more specifically data protection in cyberspace. Prof Jemilohun believes in the principles of integrity, commitment, focus, dedication and mutual respect in the workplace. He brings to the university a wealth of experience in university education and administration with a passion to teach and train students not just to be graduates in their respective fields but to be responsible global citizens who will make a positive difference as problem solvers wherever they find themselves. A Law teacher who is known by his students and mentees as a role model and a stickler for discipline, Prof Jemilohun is also a manpower developer who is engaged in training beyond the classroom and is keenly interested in people developing problem-solving skills and acquiring increased capacity for productivity in the workplace. He is married to Dr Mrs Oladunni J. Femi-Jemilohun a scholar in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and the marriage is blessed with children.
